New Job Ready Requirement - Trade Occupations

From 1 January 2010, as part of the skills assessment process for certain onshore GSM applicants who nominate a trade occupation, applications will be required to undertake a workplace assessment as part of the Job Ready Program by a TRA approved assessor.

In addition, onshore applicants who are nominating a trade occupation and wish to apply for offshore GSM visa must have been employed in a skilled occupation for a minimum of 12 months of the 24 months immediately before the day on which the visa application was made.
