    Default texting question

Hi guys, I am going to go abroad in September and need to look into applications I can use to text my friends and family members back in the US...any suggestions. texting from a computer/internet cafe is what I am looking for. I wll be e-mailing/calling but want to have some other sort of instant communication. Thanks!

    Thumbs up Re: texting question

try chime, its a new service that lets you text back to the US for free. The service assigns your account a US phone number to text so you don't get any international charges. its really new and still in "beta" or whatever so you have to signup at Chime Now and wait to be invited with all your log in information.
